Spring is finally here, and it’s inspired me to create a new set of bookends!  I’ve seen some super cute bird houses on the internet and thought I would do a bookends set featuring some as well.  I used the Baby Steps – So Precious paper that I bought a while back and have been itching to use.  I love the floral pattern on it and thought it would be perfect for my birdhouses!

I added a brightly colored bird to the front of each house, and painted a little tree branch onto each end.  I’ve been seeing these tiny flower punches eveywhere, and I always think they look so elegant.  I decided to use a punch that I’ve had kicking  around for some time now, and forgot I even had!  I added some bright little flowers to my branch, and painted a dot onto the centre of each with my paint markers that I got from Walmart.

This bookends set would go with the Love Birds Bedding set made by Bananafish, or pretty much any other bird themed bedding.  It’s a cute set with lots of pretty colors, perfect for a little girl’s bedroom!
