I finally finished my first set of Christmas Countdown Blocks.  Each block is 3″ x 3″ and sit on a six inch 2″ x 4″ block.  Each side of the block has a different piece of Christmas patterned paper on it.  I added snowflakes and gems to each side as well.  In the evening the lighting makes the gems sparkle.

I can’t wait to put these blocks up on my mantle at Christmas.  I know my kids are going to love flipping them each day.  I might make a set for my front entrance shelf as well, or perhaps for the rec. room downstairs!  I guess it is only October though, so I have a while to go…
