Check out this cute little svg doorhanger kit I found from svgcut.com!  It features lots of bugs and colors, perfect for a kids room.  I did this one to the kit instructions, but with Cheryl’s Cute Bugs SVG Kit you could make it for a boys room as well.  The doorhanger kit comes with all the pieces set out for you, and tells you what color to use.  All you have to do is, using your SCAL program, put your paper on your Cricut mat, and hit cut!  It’s so easy.  But, if you would like your hanger to be a little more original I would suggest using some patterned scrapbook paper, and not go by the suggested colors.  I used my Cuttlebug machine to add a little texture to some of my colors because I didn’t use any patterned paper.  And, if you want to make your doorhanger for a boys room you could use the ant svg, grasshopper svg, snail, mushroom, and caterpillar svg instead of the butterflies and dragonfly.  The December Doorhangers SVG kit also has your more typical shaped doorhangers too, instead of the leaves and columns.  With the bugs svg kit you get whole bunch of svg’s to cut out for only $6.99!  It’s so much more affordable than buying a cartridge.  CLICK HERE to check out the site.
