I felt like getting crafty today with all my unfinished wood, so I decided to make a set of HOME blocks.  I used 1 x 4 pine wood, cut into 4 inch tall blocks, and set them on a 2 x 2 square piece of pine cut at 14 inches long.  I picked out some mostly teal, black and grey patterned scrapbook papers for my background, and used grey cardstock for the lettering.  I cut the letters out with my handy dandy Cricut machine and mod podged everything on.  After clear coating all the blocks, I decorated them with some paper flowers, ribbon, and gems.  I’m really happy with how they turned out, and I’m liking how the red pops against the darker colors!
