This is the newest set of bookends I’ve been working on that my friend Brandy asked me to make for a baby shower gift.  Each block is two inches square and has been covered in three different, really cute, ‘So Sophie, My Mind’s Eye’ papers.  I used “Living Proof” Pleasant Stripe, “Forever With You” Delightful Diamond, and “Simple Things” Nice Numbers papers.

I distressed each block in the front by sanding, as well as all of the edges of the bookends.  Everything was painted a bright white, then sealed with varnish for protection.  This was a fun set to make, and I hope they like them.  And nice job picking out the papers Brandy!
